Our journey started with a simple observation: the traditional IT service model is broken.
Before Nexwave IT was founded, our team worked for years within large, traditional IT service providers. We saw firsthand how the industry operated. The focus was often on multi-year contracts, hitting sales targets for hardware, and maximizing billable hours. The client—the small or medium-sized business owner in places like Mississauga or Richmond Hill—was frequently an afterthought.
We grew frustrated. We saw businesses locked into services that weren't right for them, paying for support that was slow and ineffective, and being left in the dark about the technology they relied on. The model was designed to benefit the provider, not the partner. We knew there had to be a better way.
The Old, Broken Model
The old way involved profiting from misfortune. A server crashes? That’s a big, unexpected bill for the client. A security breach? More billable hours. This reactive, or "break-fix," model creates a fundamental conflict of interest. The IT company makes more money when the client has more problems.

For a flat, predictable fee, we take complete ownership of a client's IT infrastructure. Our incentive is to keep things running smoothly and securely, because we don't get paid extra for failures.
